Save The Date

The wedding date was finalized as for March 24, 2018. It was exactly the same date when the duo met for the first time some three years back. This day demanded celebration and what could be better than celebrating the date as your wedding date. And as the celebrations began, the unexpected knocked the doors.

The Phone Call

Everything was finalized. Things were shopped and placed in the right positions. Caterers booked, Wedding dresses tailored, invites printed and the wedding bells were ringing. It was the month of August and only a few months to the wedding were left when a phone call rang which made everything take a standstill.

Oh No!

The phone call was from Laurin’s oncologist. Laurin had been visiting her for the routine check-ups and one of the test reports doesn’t seem to be normal. The deviations in the medical reports bothered the doctor and she had no other choice than calling Laurin. Laurin along with Mike rushed to the hospital to visit the concerned physician.

It’s Back

The oncologist informed the couple that the recent test reports indicate that Laurin’s Cancer had returned. To make sure that things were under control some more test was conducted. And things weren’t any good. The matters were worse than before.

It’s Worse

This time Laurin was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. And the infection had spread to her bones and was about to reach her lungs. Things were almost out of control and the doctors were running out of time and Laurin immediately had to begin with her chemo sessions and even undergo a few surgeries.

Hopeless

Laurin broke to the extreme this time. Her dream wedding was just overhead and the unexpected came shattering to her. She knew she won’t be able to make it this time as it was stage 4 of cancer. Somehow, she lost all the hopes that her wedding, which had planned since childhood would ever take place. But, Mike stood there as a pillar of strength.
