Efforts

Mamie would go on planned vacations, shopping sprees, dinner at fancy restaurants, all to make her husband believe she is doing fine. What she didn’t know was that he could see through her plastered smile and was constantly finding new things to make her happy.

Sweet 60

To say Mamie was not looking forward to her 60th birthday would be an understatement. She didn’t want anything to do with it. But how will she convey this to her husband without sounding ungrateful? She decided it is better to let him do as he pleases.

Planning The Surprise

Mamie may not be excited about her birthday, but her husband sure was. He was ready to plan everything and make this day special for her. As far as celebrations go, he had everything sorted. But the one thing he still had to figure out was her gift.

Gift Ideas

It was Mamie’s 60th so the gift has to be extra special. Her husband knew her inside out, yet for this gift he was confused. What do you give to a person who already has everything? Everything materialistic, at least. He wished he could give her back her confidence as a gift. And that is when something in his mind clicked!

Birthday Party

Mamie was anxious about attending this birthday party. Her husband had probably invited all of her friends. She was in no mood to “celebrate” but she can’t put her husband’s effort to waste. He has booked a venue and everything. She has to put on her happy face and participate in the celebration.

Getting Ready

After putting on the dress her husband got her, and her favorite pieces of jewelry, Mamie was ready to go. Her husband smiled when he saw her step out of the bedroom looking as beautiful as ever. He took her by the hand and led her to their car. The car pulled out of the driveway, and the couple was ready to get the night started.
