A Smart Move
The coordinator from Safe Kids Worldwide informed Ben that he made a really smart move. Because in this case, if the baby was left in that hot car for just half an hour, it could have led to a catastrophe. The organization also mentioned that turning down a window would not have helped either because it would have little to no effect on the internal temperature of the car.
Praised By All
Ben’s bravery caught the attention of people from all over the country. They couldn’t stop applauding the 12-year-old. Some of the comments included, “Kudos and praise to the 12-year-old who has more sense and compassion than an adult mother.” and “Awesome job. Glad you saved that baby.”
Crowned A Hero
Ben was crowned a hero by all. The comments were flooded by compliments. “You are my hero”, one woman commented for the 12-year-old. Another shared that feeling by commenting, “This is a great young man. He is a hero.”
Modest Boy
All this while Ben had maintained a rather modest outlook. When asked to respond to the praises and compliments, Ben said in an interview with Safe Kids Worldwide, that the whole incident was really just about doing the right thing. He didn’t think any of this will happen. After all, he was just out to buy some new shoes.
