Losing It Forever
She did not tell anyone about her loss of the ring, not even Norman. For days she continued looking for the ring. But each time her hope of finding the ring remained a far-fetched dream. She said “we looked high and low on our hands and knees,” she further added “We couldn’t find it. I thought for sure either they rototilled it or something happened to it.” Gradually she began believing that she would never be able to find the ring. Even after so many days, she kept it a secret from her husband. She narrates “I didn’t tell him, even, because I thought for sure he’d give me heck or something.” But there was someone who knew about this!
