Imagine the biggest and heaviest combat plane around today. It’s owned by the Russian Air Force and it’s called the Tu-160. This super-fast plane joined the team in 1987. What’s really cool is that the tips of its propeller blades spin faster than the speed of sound! To put it in perspective, it’s like a super-fast whirlwind.
Also, it’s quite special because it was the last really big bomber made for the Soviet Union. And here’s an interesting tidbit: just two years after this plane first took flight, the famous Berlin Wall came down. So, it’s a big, fast, and historical airplane that’s been around for quite a while.
