Another Antonov, The Mriya

There’s another Antonov airplane called the An-225 Mriya, and it was made in Ukraine back in the 1980s. Nowadays, people call it the “superstar of the skies,” like a celebrity among planes. This aircraft is like a flying cruise ship and is super heavy, weighing 640 tons when it takes off. It doesn’t fly very often, but in 2016, it did something extraordinary.

It carried a massive 130-ton generator all the way to Australia. That’s like moving an entire big house through the air! So, even though it’s not in the air every day, when the An-225 Mriya does take flight, it’s quite a showstopper and an amazing feat of aviation technology. What a sight!
