When it comes to big planes, the Hughes H-4 Hercules takes the prize. It was made to fly across the Atlantic Ocean during World War II, but it was finished too late for the job. It only got to have a short flight, but it still holds the title of the largest flying boat ever made. Plus, it had the widest wings of any plane in history.
So, while it didn’t get to do much flying, it was a real giant in the world of aircraft. It’s kind of like the monster trucks you see on land, but this one was a massive airplane that could’ve done some incredible things if it had been ready in time. But alas! It couldn’t be. The beast sure was a powerful one.
