A Strange White Spot
Well, cats do turn gray with age, especially the ones with darker fur. However, Elli was still very young. She was only one year old. Why would she be turning gray? Elli’s mom tried to pull that lint off her body but did it come out?
It Was Her Fur!
Nicole said, “The changing began about one year after birth.” Something was definitely out of place. Nicole clearly remembered, “It wasn’t there at the beginning. I thought it was lint and tried to remove it, but it turned out to be her fur.” The woman dismissed it as it was just a small bunch of fur.
Nothing Usual
But she soon figured that the white patch was widening. Her fur was turning white. It was beyond Nicole as to why Elli’s black fur was changing into white. She had to get to the bottom of it. So, she decided to take medical assistance. The woman decided to see a vet.
Did Rosie Too?
Nicole also checked Rosie if she too had white fur as they belonged to the same litter. She did not want to take any chance and so she also took Rosie along. The woman asked the vet if Rosie too was having the same condition. The vet told her that Rosie was alright. So does this mean Elli had some problem?
More White Hair
Well, everything got cleared after the doctor tested her. The report suggested that Elli was having vitiligo. It is because of this condition her hair was whitening rapidly. The vet could not tell how many of her furs would get discolored due to the disease. There was one more concern.
Health Issues
So, along with her hair, was it also going to affect her health. Well, in some cases it does affects one’s health. The condition is found in some people as well. People usually hide white spots by covering them with beauty products.
