This pair is definitely one of the weirder ones on this list of unlikely animal pairs. So back in the year 2004, these two animals became famous after boding because of an Ocean earthquake in the Indian Ocean. The tsunami orphaned the baby hippo called Owen and it found a friend and a confidante in a 130-year-old tortoise. These two gained so much attention that they even have their own website.
