On being asked how did he get his hands on the blanket, Krytzer explained that his great-great-grandfather was the custodian of the blanket. Having said that, he was also a Dakota trader in the 19th Century. The story seemed to be true to Moran. “A lot of times a blanket or something will come to us and we won’t know the history of it.”
