Gunnar Kaasen was born to be a hero. During the gold rush, Gunnar who was born in Norway migrated to America in the 20th century. And it was then he found about his hidden talent of being an excellent musher, or dog sledder. Later, he moved to Nome, Alaska to have the gold. In Nome, the city was struggling with the outbreak of diphtheria and a group of 20 mushers were on their way of the 674-mile long relay where their task was to bring the medication to the town. But it was only Gunnar who was able to complete the task in time.
