Skellig Michael, an island surrounded with mysteries became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996. This rocky island is a subject to many Christian and Celtic legends. This is believed that a  group of monks made it their home and built a settlement wholly by hand. This is still a mystery why they specifically chose this place to build their settlement and how did they manage to live there. You might be remembering Skellig Michael featured in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”
