Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio was an Italian artist who lived from A.D. 1571 to 1610 A.D. In 1609, the famed painter created a painting known as “Nativity with St. Francis and St. Lawrence”. The painting depicts the birth of Jesus, while he is lying on the haystack. The painting resided in a chapel in Palermo, in Italy till 1969, from where it was stolen and to date no one knows its location.
