Raphael Sanzio was an Italian Painter who lived from 1483 A.D. – 1520 A.D. and was commonly known as Raphael. He painted a “portrait of a young man” on an oil canvas. No one knows the person who is depicted in that painting. In 1939 when Poland was invaded by the Germans, Nazi officials stole the painting. The painting had its last spectators in 1945 and since then no one knows its location.
