From 66 AD to 74 AD many Jewish rebels were fighting for their freedom. During 70 AD, the Romans invaded the city of Jerusalem and captured it. One of the most sacred places for the people of Jerusalem was The Second Temple. The temple was raided during the invasion and the Roman troops took the temple’s menorah which was considered as one of the most sacred things in the temple.
According to historians, there are proofs of Romans taking the Menorah which was of the size of humans. But since then nobody has ever seen it. The legend has it, that the menorah is still hidden in the city of Rome.
