Mammoth Brains

Moving forward to slightly old age, once upon a time in the history of research itself, scientists discovered the brains of a woolly mammoth. Till date, this is the only mammoth to be unearthed with the uninjured brain. It was old enough to be found in the derelict permafrost (permanently frozen soil under the present soil layer) of the Laptev Sea coast. This discovery is more than 39,000 years old and the mammoth was a young child of 6 to 9 years of age. Scientists agreed on the point that its age must have become the reason for its death as it died immediately after falling down.
